The 10U Weston Black Hawks goes to Palm Beach and takes the Columbus Day Shootout Crown in impressive fashion by going 4-0 in the tournament and scoring 51 runs through 4 games while only giving up 18 runs. The pitching was outstanding and the hitting was amazing! The Black Hawks rolled through the seeding games by run ruling their first two opponents then run ruling their semi final opponent. The championship game was competitive as the Black Hawks fell behind early to the RPB Aces but came storming back with impressive performances by all the kids with their hitting, pitching, and defense. The game was exciting and going into the 6th inning the Black Hawks had a 10-7 lead. To their credit the Aces never gave up and fought to close the gap to 10-9 with the tying run on 3rd base the Black Hawks struck out the final batter to clinch the championship.

The Black Hawks have won 15 consecutive games and are currently 7-0 in FPBL play while averaging over 10 runs per game!!!! This team has improved tremendously with some great player additions and is showing that they are the best 10U team weston has to offer.

Looks to be another promising season for the Black Hawks.....
