You could not have written a better scrip to this season ending. It took the 8u Giants a come form behind win against the Sandlot trailing by two runs to win it 9-8.  The Margate Titans 8u Coach Pitch team battled all day and came up short against the West Pines Cobras 8-5.
The 9u Mo Steel team had to hold off a charging RPB Piranaz team in their game to win their second consecutive FPBL title. The 10u Cobras came from behind three runs down in their last at bat against the Florida Pokers to get to the Championship game and so did the West Boca Panthers against the Canes, they too came back to get there, but the Cobras prevail in an 8-5 win. The 11u Cooper City Cowboys took down last season Champion and runner-up in the PL Bulldogs and the West Pines Cobras in back to back games to win their first FPBL title.

The 12u was a weekend of upsets, as top teams as D1-Elite and West Boca Panthers-Black went down early in the playoffs, against the likes of the PPO Spartans and Team Renteria and after last season runner-up finish the Nike Cobras got back on top by defeating a very good Miramar Canes team. I the 13u Division the Weston Hawks came back against a good Coconut Creek Hawks to win 5-3 in the semifinal game to face the Boca Starz South who defeated the West Pines Cobras 3-1 The Hawks beat the Starz South in well played game in 1-0 win, it was the Hawks first FPBL title.

So, to close off the season and perhaps the last time that these kids will ever play together again in the league and in their lifetime, the 14u Miramar Canes did it in dramatic fashion in the Championship Game and throughout the playoffs. The Canes went into their last at bat in the Championship Game trailing 5-3 against the DC Patriots. A hit-batter, a walk and with runners on 1st & second, Cartaya would fly out for the Canes for   first out of the Inning. Brian Gonzalez delivered a line drive base hit  past the SS to load the bases and the big hit came off the bat of Ryan Dodge a 1-out double off the center field fence to tie the game at 5-5  with the score tied the Canes suicide -squeeze played failed as the batter let the pitch go and the runner was tagged out for the second out of the game. The Patriots would Intentionally walk the next batter to load the bases and try to force an out any base. The Canes Yoni Rodriguez would make the Patriots pay as he delivered a base hit between SS & 3B to give the Canes a 6-5 come from behind win.


The Canes Walk-Off was their third in a row in the Playoffs.
