Florida Pokers 9u go 4-0 in Memorial Day Tourrnament....Defeat Weston Red Hawks in Championship Game
The 9U Florida Pokers went 4-0 this weekend to win the Coral Springs Memorial Day USSSA Tournament. Terrific pitching and strong defense paved the way for the title, as well as never falling behind in any of the games. Going undefeated in pool play against the Miramar Canes and the Weston Black Hawks the Florida Pokers had to meet the Miramar Canes again in the first elimination game. The Florida Pokers defeated the Canes with an 8-6 victory and advanced to the Championship game against the Weston Red Hawks. The game was tied 7-7 in the bottom of the third, once again, the Florida Pokers played lights out defense for the last three innings not allowing any runs and finishing the game 11-7 in Florida Poker style.
